Som Carbon carries out agricultural land management operations that minimize emissions on croplands and grasslands by increasing carbon stocks in soils and woody biomass while lowering carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide, and/or methane emissions from soils. Our program-based actions help to avoid or remove emissions from the environment, and they are structured by how they reduce emissions. we tap into the country’s enormous resources, working with farmers to minimize agricultural expenses, which in turn benefit the rest of Somalis by lowering food prices. As a result, we profit economically from the carbon trading market, with the ultimate objective of developing a common inter-governmental carbon compliance market.
